DIRECTIONS

The Alps is in Arthur's Pass village (737m above sea level), approximately 160km (95mi) WNW of Christchurch, deep in the Southern Alps, in Arthur's Pass National Park.

The Alps is a dark grey cottage with a black roof and rock garden out the front. It is the fifth house on the left after the Arthur's Pass Store as you go towards the West Coast.

The village has a good store, where petrol, food, toiletries, tobacco, alcohol, etc. can be purchased if required (eftpos and credit cards are accepted there).
